Report: Employees who have not passed the assigned tests

This report helps you quickly find employees who have not yet completed assigned tests in LMS Smart Way courses. Use it to monitor employee training, identify gaps in test completion and prepare a list for follow-up reminders.

Important: in this report, "did not pass" means that the employee has no completed result for the selected test. It is not a report about a low score. If an employee has completed a test but received a weak result, check this in the other test result reports.

Where can I find the report?

Go to Academy / Hall of Achievements.

On the ratings page, find the block Report: Employees who did not pass assigned tests.

Who can see the report?

The report is available to users with administrator rights in LMS Smart Way. If you do not see the report block, check:

  • whether you are signed in with the correct account;

  • whether you have administrator rights;

  • whether you have opened Hall of Achievements, not the general candidate testing reports.

What is needed to build the report?

Before generating the report, make sure that:

  • the required course is active;

  • the course contains active tests;

  • the course is available to the relevant employees.

If the course or test does not appear in the selector, the most common reasons are: the course is inactive, the course has no active tests, or you are viewing a different interface language version.

How do I generate the report?

  1. In the report block, click Generate report.

  2. In the Select course and tests window, open the Select course field.

  3. If there are many courses, use the Search course field.

  4. Select the course.

  5. After you select the course, Smart Way will show the tests linked to that course.

  6. In the Select required tests block, click one or more tests.

  7. Check that the required tests are selected.

  8. Click Generate report.

The generation button is active only when a course and at least one test are selected.

Who does the system add to the report?

An employee appears in the report when all of these conditions are met:

  • the employee has access to the Academy;

  • the selected course is available to the employee;

  • the selected test belongs to that course;

  • the employee has no completed attempt for that test.

If the course is configured for specific departments or job titles, Smart Way applies those access rules. This means an employee who has not been assigned the course and cannot access it through their department or job title will not appear in this report.

What does an empty result mean?

If the message All employees have passed the selected tests appears after generation, there are no employees with incomplete attempts for the selected course and tests.

In this case, check:

  • whether the correct course is selected;

  • whether the correct tests are selected;

  • whether the relevant employees have access to this course.

How does pagination work?

If the report contains many rows, use the pagination at the bottom of the table.

Available rows-per-page options:

  • 10;

  • 25;

  • 100.

If you change the number of rows per page, the list opens from the first page. If you simply move to the next page, Smart Way shows the next part of the same report.

How do I export the report to Excel?

After data appears in the table, the Excel button is available next to Generate report.

To download the file:

  1. Generate the report.

  2. Check that the table contains the required data.

  3. Click Excel.

  4. Wait for the file to download.

The file is downloaded in .xlsx format.

The Excel file contains the full list of employees for the selected course and tests.

Typical situations and what to check

Situation What to check
The employee is in the report but says they opened the test Check whether the test was completed. Opening a test without completing it does not remove the employee from the report.
The employee is not in the report, although they did not take the test Check Academy access, course availability by department or job title, and whether the correct test was selected.
Department or job title is empty in the report Open the employee card and fill in Department or Job title.
The required course is not in the course list Make sure the course is active and contains an active test.
You need to see scores, not only incomplete status Use the course test completion results report or another report that shows test results.
You need to send the list to a manager Generate the report and download the Excel file.

FAQ

Does the report show employees who received a low score?

No. This report shows employees without a completed attempt for the selected test. Low scores should be checked in the test result reports.

Can I select several tests at once?

Yes. After selecting a course, click all required tests in the list. If an employee has not completed several of them, they may appear in the report several times.

Why is the required course missing from the list?

The list shows active company courses that contain active tests. Check whether the course is active, whether it has tests and which interface language version you are viewing.

Why is the required test missing from the list?

The test must be active and linked to the selected course. If the test is inactive or has not been added to the course, it will not appear in the selector.

Are candidates included in the report?

No. This report is for employees who complete training in the Academy. For candidates, use the candidate testing sections and reports.
