This report helps administrators and department managers analyse test results within a specific LMS Smart Way course. It shows who completed the selected tests, what results they achieved, how many attempts were made and how much time the employee spent learning in the course.
Where can I find the report?
Go to Academy / Hall of Achievements.
On the ratings page, find the Report: Course tests completion results block.
Who can see the report?
The report is available to administrators and department managers in LMS Smart Way.
If you do not see the report block, check:
-
whether you are signed in with the correct account;
-
whether you have administrator or department manager permissions;
-
whether you have opened
Hall of Achievements.
What should this report be used for?
The report is not only for viewing scores. It helps answer practical questions for an administrator or department manager:
-
who already has completed results for the selected tests;
-
which employees achieved strong or weak results;
-
how many times employees took the tests;
-
whether there are employees who have been assigned the tests but do not yet have a result;
-
how much time employees spent learning in the selected course.
What should be checked before generating the report?
Before generating the report, make sure that:
-
the required course is active;
-
the course contains active tests;
-
the course is available to the relevant employees;
-
employees have the
DepartmentandJob titlefields filled in correctly if you plan to analyse results by team; -
you are using the correct interface language version if your company runs courses in several languages.
If the course or test does not appear in the selector, the most common reasons are: the course is inactive, the course has no active tests, or the test is not linked to the selected course.
How do I generate the report?
-
In the
Report: Course tests completion resultsblock, clickGenerate report. -
In the
Select course and testswindow, open theSelect coursefield. -
If there are many courses, use the
Search coursefield. -
Select the course.
-
After you select the course, Smart Way will show the tests linked to that course.
-
In the
Select required testsblock, click one or more tests. -
Enable additional report parameters if needed.
-
Click
Generate report.
The generation button is active only when a course and at least one test are selected.
What data does the table show?
After generation, Smart Way shows a table with results.
Main columns:
-
Test date- the completion date, or the latest completion date in grouped mode; -
Full name- the employee whose result is shown; -
Department- the employee's department; -
Job title- the employee's job title; -
columns named after the selected tests - the result for each selected test.
If there is no result for a specific test in a row, Smart Way shows -.
How does the report work without grouping?
If Group results is switched off, the report shows each completed attempt as a separate row.
This mode is useful when you need to:
-
see the history of completions;
-
check repeat attempts;
-
understand exactly when an employee completed a test;
-
analyse results without combining several completions into one row.
If an employee completed several selected tests or had several completed attempts, the table may contain several rows for the same employee.
How does Group results work?
When Group results is enabled, Smart Way shows one employee in one row.
In this mode:
-
each selected test is shown as a separate column;
-
an
Attempts countcolumn appears next to the test result; -
it is easy to compare an employee's results across several tests in one course.
This mode is useful for summary analysis when you need to compare employees quickly or send a compact table to a manager.
How does Add those assigned the selected tests but have not started them work?
This parameter adds employees who have access to the selected course and selected tests, but do not yet have a completed result for them.
In these rows, the test result may appear as -. This helps you see not only employees who have already completed testing, but also those who need a reminder to complete it.
The parameter is useful when you need a full picture for the course:
-
who already has a result;
-
who has not started or has not completed the test;
-
who should be added to the reminder list.
How does Training time work?
The Training time parameter adds a column with learning time for the selected course.
This is the time spent learning in the course, not the duration of a specific test. It helps you understand how much time the employee actually spent in the course learning materials.
Use this parameter if you need to understand:
-
whether the employee reviewed the materials before the test;
-
whether there is a link between learning time and the test result;
-
who may need to review the course materials again.
How does Questions passed work?
The Questions passed parameter adds a Questions passed out of N column, where N is the total number of questions in the test.
This parameter shows how many questions were recorded as passed. It does not replace the final test result and is not a separate report on correct or incorrect answers.
Use this parameter if you need to check:
-
whether the employee moved through the test questions;
-
whether there is partial completion;
-
why the report may not contain a final result.
Why cannot Group results and Questions passed be enabled at the same time?
These parameters answer different questions.
Group results is for a summary table: one employee - one row, selected tests - separate columns, with the number of attempts shown as extra information.
Questions passed is for more detailed analysis of progress through test questions. Because of this, when one of these parameters is enabled, the other becomes unavailable.
If you need a compact summary table, use Group results.
What does an empty result mean?
If the message No data for selected course/tests appears after generation, Smart Way has not found data for the selected combination of course, tests and report parameters.
In this case, check:
-
whether the correct course is selected;
-
whether the correct tests are selected;
-
whether employees have completed these tests;
-
whether the relevant employees have access to the Academy;
-
whether the course is available to employees by their department or job title;
-
whether you need to enable
Add those assigned the selected tests but have not started them.
How do I export the report to Excel?
After data appears in the table, the Excel button is available next to Generate report.
To download the file:
-
Generate the report.
-
Check that the table contains the required data.
-
Click
Excel. -
Wait for the file to download.
The file is downloaded in .xlsx format with the name course_tests_results_report.xlsx.
The Excel file contains the full data set for the selected course, tests and report parameters.

| You need to see people who do not yet have a result | Enable Add those assigned the selected tests but have not started them. |
| You need to check progress through questions | Enable Questions passed. |

FAQ
Does the report show candidates?
No. This report is for employees who complete training in the Academy. For candidates, use the candidate testing sections and reports.
Can I select several tests at once?
Yes. After selecting a course, click all required tests in the list. Each selected test appears as a separate column in the table.
Why can one employee appear several times?
If Group results is switched off, the report shows separate completed attempts. This means one employee may have several rows.
When should I enable Group results?
Enable this parameter when you need a summary table: one employee in one row, tests in separate columns and the number of attempts shown next to them.
Does Training time show the time spent taking the test?
No. This is the learning time in the selected course. It helps you assess how much time the employee spent working with the course learning materials.
Does Questions passed show whether answers were correct?
No. This parameter shows the number of passed questions out of the total number of questions in the test. To analyse correct and incorrect answers, use detailed test result reports if they are available in your process.
Why can the Excel file differ depending on the parameters?
The Excel file is generated with the same parameters that you selected before generating the report. If Training time, Group results or Questions passed is enabled, the corresponding columns will also appear in the file.
