The Hotspot question type is used when the user needs to choose one or several areas on an image as the answer.
This format works well when you need a practical staff assessment and it is important to see whether an employee knows the correct area on a diagram, photo or interface. The Hotspot question type can make the check more visual and closer to a real workplace situation.
When Should You Use the Hotspot Question Type?
Choose this type if the answer is tied to a specific area on a diagram, photo or interface image.
Examples:
-
find the correct element on a diagram;
-

-

-

What Does the User See in the LMS Platform?
-
the user sees an image with numbered markers;
-
they click the required markers;
-
the Hotspot marker name is not shown to the user during the test, but is used in reports.
How Is It Marked?
The question is marked automatically and is included in the test percentage result.
Marking is based on the exact set of correct markers. The order of selection does not matter. If the user selects not all correct markers, an extra marker or an unknown marker, the answer will be incorrect.
