Administrators can add or remove learning-path tasks, change stages and adjust the order of learning. If employees are already taking the path, check how the updated structure will affect their learning before saving. You can choose separately whether to apply the changes to employees who have already completed the path.
How do you change and save the path structure?
-
Open the editor for the relevant path and go to the Path content tab.
-
Add or remove materials, change the stages and arrange tasks in the order you want. Check which materials are required and whether employees need to retake any courses.
-
Select Save.
-
If the Recalculate completed learning? dialogue opens, choose whose completed learning to update. The options are explained in the next section.
-
Confirm your choice, wait for saving to finish and check the employees’ data in the learning report.
If you cancel the recalculation dialogue, the new structure will not be saved. The path name and other settings are saved separately from its structure.
How do you apply changes to employees who have completed the path?
Choose one of the options in the recalculation dialogue:
-
Do not recalculate completed enrolments: employees who have already completed the path keep its existing structure.
-
Recalculate all completed enrolments: the updated structure applies to the enrolments of all employees who have already completed this path when you save the changes.
-
Recalculate for selected teams: choose the departments or job titles whose employees need their completed enrolments updated.
If recalculation adds a required task that has not yet been credited to the employee, they will need to complete it. Their current learning will become unfinished again, while the earlier completion remains in their history.
What happens to progress and deadlines?
Employees who have not yet completed the path receive the updated structure. Credited results and existing deadlines for the corresponding tasks are preserved. If you add a requirement to retake a course, the previous result does not count in place of the new attempt, so the material will need to be completed again.
Adding a required task can reduce the progress percentage because more stages now need to be completed to finish the path. This does not mean that the employee has lost all their earlier results. Completion history remains available after the learning requirements change.
What should you do if the editor reports a conflict?
This message appears when changes to the path have been saved since you opened the editor. Another administrator may have saved them, or you may have done so in another browser tab. The system blocks saving to prevent your edits from overwriting more recent changes.
To continue:
-
Make a note of your unsaved edits so you do not lose them.
-
Load the latest saved path data.
-
Review what has changed and reapply the edits you still need.
-
Save the updated path structure.

FAQ
Why did progress decrease after adding a task?
If the new task is required, it increases the number of stages that need to be completed to finish the path. The progress percentage can therefore decrease even though earlier credited results have been preserved.
Does cancelling the recalculation dialogue save the new structure?
No. Review your changes and select Save again when you are ready to apply them. If the recalculation dialogue opens again, choose the relevant option and confirm the save.
