A learning path can include courses, tests and documents. To complete it, you need to finish all its required tasks. Each type of material has its own completion requirements: work through the course, finish the test according to its rules, or confirm that you have read the document.
Where do you find your path?
-
Open Academy and go to All courses.
-
Find the relevant learning-path card and open it. The catalogue shows learning available to your account.
-
Review your tasks, progress and completion deadline. If a task is unavailable, read the explanation beside it.
If a personal learning deadline has been set, the countdown starts when your learning is automatically activated, regardless of your first visit. Use the displayed due date even if you have only just opened the path for the first time.
How do you complete different types of task?
Choose an available task, following the required learning order. What you need to do next depends on the type of material. After completing any task, return to the path and check whether it has been credited.
How do you complete a course?
Open the course and study its materials in the course reader. During learning, the system counts active time spent working with the materials and records your learning status.
How do you complete a test task?
Work through the test and finish your attempt. If a passing score is required, you need to achieve it. An unsuccessful attempt may not complete the task, and the test settings determine whether you can try again.
How do you complete a document task?
Read the document and select the acknowledgement button. Opening the document alone does not confirm that you have read it.
If the document is updated while your task is still unfinished, you may need to read and acknowledge the current published version.
When is the path considered complete?
The path is complete once all its required tasks have been credited. Optional materials are not included in the required-task count, so you are not required to finish them to complete the path itself.
If you completed a course earlier, its result may count towards the path without taking the course again. If a retake is required for the course, you need to complete a new attempt. Earlier completions remain in history.
Why might the progress percentage decrease?
An Administrator may add required tasks to a path you are still taking. More stages then need to be completed to finish the path, so the progress percentage can decrease even though the tasks you have already completed remain credited.
