Administrators set a common schedule for learning reminders, choosing the sending days and time. For an employee to receive a reminder, a suitable rule and a current subscription to the notification channel are also needed.
How do you set the sending days and time?
-
In the menu, open Notifications.
-
In General settings, turn on employee reminders.
-
Enter the sending time and choose the time zone.
-
Select the days of the week when reminders should be sent.
-
Select Save and wait for confirmation that the settings have been saved.
Saving the schedule does not create reminder rules. Configure those separately for the relevant learning and employees.
How do you choose the time zone?
Use the organisation’s working hours as a guide. The selected time zone determines how the system interprets the sending time. This is particularly important if Administrators and employees are in different locations: check which time zone the schedule should follow.
Changing the reminder time zone does not change established learning deadlines.
What else should you check before reminders are sent?
As well as the schedule, check the rule settings and the employee’s subscription:
-
The rule must be enabled and apply to the employee and their learning.
-
The rule’s condition must be met.
-
The employee must be subscribed to the relevant notification channel.
-
The repeat and maximum-reminder settings must allow another reminder.
Does this schedule control daily overdue reports?
Daily overdue reports are enabled separately in the course or path settings. They use the time zone from the general notification settings but have their own switch.
Turning employee reminders off does not disable daily reports. The time and weekdays selected for employee reminders do not control these reports either.
